City Council Chamber to undergo major remodel

Beginning March 1, 2020, the City Council Chamber will undergo an estimated $1.835 million remodel construction project and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2020. Work consists of site work and tenant improvements to the existing building and grounds. 

Included are all accessibility improvements and other basic improvements meeting code or functional requirements, including but not limited to exterior ramps, sidewalks, and interior building accessibility and building code related work such as re-sloping floor, replacing dais, replacing lighting, new doors, new electronic security system, including cameras and door access control, new mechanical, electrical, and fire alarm work.  

Alternate work may include additional mechanical HVAC work, audio-visual provisioning, miscellaneous electrical work, roofing replacement and installation of bullet-resistant storefront windows and door assembly. During construction, all scheduled meetings will be held at the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District Offices at 2490 Hilborn Road. The first Council meeting will be held there on March 3, 2020 at 6 p.m.
