Fairfield hires new Parks and Recreation Director

After performing a nationwide search, Kristina Chamberlin has been selected as Director of the City of Fairfield’s Parks & Recreation Department.

Chamberlin has over 25 years of experience in the public sector and previously worked for the City of Fresno as Assistant Director of the Parks, After School, Recreation and Community Services Department. (PARCS)

Chamberlin is excited to join a team that shares similar values and is committed to finding creative and meaningful ways to address the community's evolving needs. “More now than ever before, we find ourselves in a season that highlights the need to be adaptable to change," Chamberlin stated. “I will bring to Fairfield my ability to meet challenges head-on, and my passion of building an environment in which we can have some fun along the way and most importantly, accomplish great things together.”

Chamberlin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific University, and is a certified Park and Recreation Professional with long standing memberships in many civic and philanthropic associations. She joins the the City of Fairfield on December 21.
